Online Circuit Breaker Analyser - ONLINE / OFFLINE
Testing breaker in service to analyze the 1st trip which is not possible with traditional methods. This is important to show how the breaker would have performed if called upon to trip in a real situation. Conventional test method is usually free of any stiction in the mechanism thus masking the breaker problem. With measurements trend, all operations can be compared and contrasted against previous records or of a similar type, allowing analysis of CB.
Online Partial Discharge - ONLINE
Partial discharge occurs in an insulation system when a local breakdown of the insulation medium causes a redistribution of charge within the system. The high frequency method of detecting partial discharge offers good sensitivity to many types of partial discharge source and permits the site of the source to be located. The online technique has the advantage as it can be used on energized equipment which measures PD at operating voltage, loading and 50Hz frequency, and it is a non destructive test, NDT. With measurements trend analysis, severity can be monitored and acts as early warning system.
Insulation Power Factor (Dielectric dissipation factor / Tan Delta Teasurement) - OFFLINE
The dielectric power factor is a property of the electrical insulation system and a measure of the electrical losses in the insulation. Current leakage through the insulation is measured and the power factor calculated as the ratio of the watts-loss to the apparent power input. The measurement is of value in diagnosing degradation and deterioration of the insulation system.
Thermography - ONLINE
Non contact, non destructive online method detection on invisible infrared thermal radiation of objects. Any thermal anomaly may result in failures. Anomaly is based on detection of temperature difference of standard guide, phase to phase temperature differences and operating temperature signatures.
Ultrasound - ONLINE
Non contact, non destructive online method detection complementing the other CBM test. Anomaly is based on detection of ‘cracking’ electrical noise to detect mostly termination dischargers and corona.
